Shabbat is the day of rest for the Jewish People. Shabbat begins on Friday at Sundown and lasts until Saturday at sundown. We will be celebrating at both evening and morning services in honor of Ari's Bar Mitzvah.

March 15th , 10:30 AM @ Temple Beth Israel. Open to the Altoona Jewish Community & friends. The main event!
Ethan will assist Rabbi Dr. Audrey Korotkin in leading morning prayers. Ethan will also be called to read from the Torah for the first time. Immediately following morning services, around noonish, there will be a Kiddush luncheon in the Nathan Kaber Social Hall.

As we say farewell to Shabbat for another week, Rabbi Dr. Audrey Korotkin will lead us in a brief ceremony called Havdalah which separates the restfulness of Shabbat from the rest of the busy week.
